This meets OSHA Subpart CC requirements. Federal OSHA §1926.1428 requires that employees who provide the crane operator with signals, must receive training and testing to qualify them as competent. This program is four hours and includes classroom instruction with a written exam and practical exam, resulting in the documentation required by OSHA for employers to qualify their personnel.
The qualified signal person course will allow participants who successfully complete the course to direct a crane with hand, voice or audible signals. In addition to receiving a certificate for successfully completing the course, participants will also receive a wallet card which they must have on them at all times while directing a crane with signals.
