Operators of forklifts must be certified and re-evaluated at a minimum of once every three years. This program covers all the necessary requirements of OSHA to certify operators including a written test and practical evaluation. Companies must provide a safe and compliant forklift, which will be used for the practical evaluation. Upon successful completion, HC&A will provide the employer with a forklift operators file complete with all necessary documentation, including a certificate of completion and wallet card.
While the classroom portion will cover all the necessary requirements for both types of lifts, separate practical evaluations will need to be performed to qualify an employee to operate the lift truck.
